Research Triangle Trading is our sourcing and consignment operation, connecting acquired inventory with a network of auction and consignment partners. Items are identified, catalogued, and matched to the right channel for sale — with every step, from intake to final settlement, run through a platform we designed and built ourselves.
Consignments — anywhere from a single item to a full lot — are catalogued with photographs and individual reserve prices, then assigned to the auctioneer best suited to that category. Auctioneers manage their consignments, record sales, and handle payment directly through the platform. When a consignment closes out, a reconciliation workflow automatically generates packing slips, coordinates the return of unsold items, and produces a final settlement record — fully documented, with no manual paperwork on either side.
These are the actual system designs behind the platform — the workflows that run every consignment from close-out to settlement, and route every message into one place. Each was designed before a line of code was written.
Every sale is tracked against its reserve price and logged automatically, with discrepancies flagged for review. Auctioneers get their own performance dashboard — sell-through rate and pricing performance against reserve.
